It is a dream of any design agency to be featured on behance. Not everyone get this opportunity. if you wondering "what is behance?" then let me break it down for you. Behance is a platform where designers not just only showcase their work to the world but also get to connect with other designers and potential client. It's more like a community where we engaged with other designers, appreciated their work, and learned from them. However, it's really difficult to be featured on behance. But we made this difficult thing possible with our hard work. Today I'm going to share our exiting journey with you that how we made it.
We are a design agency and we launched Potential's Behance profile in May 2025. Even a few months ago, our agency was at a point where We had no client projects, no well designed case studies to show. It means there was nothing that could represent our skills on platforms like Behance. That's why we decided to create our own identity instead of looking for clients. We started designing projects from zero using only our innovative ideas, inspiration, and the mindset of dedicating ourselves. We had only one goal to create top-notch design like top design agencies. Within a few months, After completing some projects we started publishing them in behance and to our surprise our four projects got featured one after another. It felt like a dream come to true as our hard work paid off. In case you are wondering "how did they manage to do it within such a short time!" then let me spill the tea for you.

The first step of designing a case study is to select the right and trending niche. We didn't pick any random regular ideas. We tried to look for niches that are futuristics, booming and related to AI. As AI is growing real fast, so it's really important to include the concept of AI in our work to keep up with the design industry. We researched on trending topics like AI heathcare, Fintech using AI Agent and so on.

After selecting the niche when it comes to research, it is really important to use AI tools like ChatGPT, Grok to get to know about the right competitors, market trends, target audience and other stuffs. Otherwise it is really time consuming to do all these manually. AI not just only provide us the right information, it also saves us a lot of time and manpower. We tried to study everything that is important and relevant to our project and created information architecture, site map and user flow using AI. It helped us understand the concept inside and out.

To make any project stand out, It's a must to have a USP. The full form of USP is Unique Selling Proposition. It means to have one special thing that makes your product or project different from others. There are thousands of similar products out there. So if your product don't have a USP, then the user won't be able to differentiate your product from others. So, if you fail to grab the attention of the users, then there is no point in creating a product that is already existing. That's why our each project has it's USP to make it unique than the other similar projects or products.

When it comes to creating a new design, collecting the right inspirations (moodboards) and building a design system are essential, as they are the foundation of the project. One should select inspirations that are modern, relevant, and creative from online platforms like Behance. And can also use AI tools to get creative layout ideas. Before starting the design, we always used to spend a quality time collecting moodboards and developing a design system that aligned well with our project. After that we created detailed screens following the userflow. And we also designed our presentation sharing our design process, Challenges, keeping layout consistency and highlighting the product’s branding. We also added motion design in each projects to bring it to life, so that anyone can easily connect with the project.
If a project doesn't have relevant content (Text, images), then the users won't be able to connect with the product. So it's very important to have relevant data or content even in the presentation. Sometimes we notice that designers use dummy or irrelevant content in their presentation, which causes a bad impact on the viewers. So, before uploading our projects, we made sure that all the content are updated and relevant. And for the visual part, We tried to create clean and eye-catching thumbnails, mockups. Didn't add too much text at once and created design breakdown using mockups or images. And focused on visibility issues keeping the right contrast or opacity. In short, We maintained the overall hierarchy of the presentation.
So that's the working process that we still follow to do our projects. Hope it may help. And in case you want to know about the projects that got featured on behance then let me give you some idea about that. Four of our projects got featured and all of them are from different niches like HealthTech, FinTech and so on.
Here are some details about the projects:

It's a home gardening AI agent mobile application for plant issue detection. This was our very first project. We not just only designed the application but also created a 3d device design to connect with the users.

It's a personal expense tracking mobile application with AI insights. We tried to make the daily life's expense tracking easy by integrating AI in it. We used analytics to make the design look better and different from any regular app.

An e-commerce business platform where users can easily manage their businesses with the help of AI. It's a dashboard designed using modern analytics in such a way that user can easily track their sales, inventory and other stuffs by looking at the overview.

It's an AI-powered diabetic assistant app to monitor and to provide guidance for any diabetic patient. We designed a 3d device for this project as well, which made our work look better and more engaging.

Now that you have got to know about our projects, it's time to share the things that we've learned from getting featured. First of all, believe that you don't need client projects to prove your skills because it is a waste of time to wait for client projects. Instead try to create your own opportunities to prove your skills. Focus not only on the visuals but also on the user experience and story telling. Share your workflow, ideas, thought process, all the challenges you faced and the solutions you got and try to connect with people through your work. Moreover, keep posting regularly. Because we didn't stop after one project. We kept posting regularly. We maintained the consistency and that's what we believe that helped us get noticed by behance curators.
So if you are a designer with zero projects in your hand, don't be disheartened. Just focus on dedicating yourself and try to producing the best output using the resources you have. You don’t have to wait for client work to start building your portfolio. Find a niche that excites you. Create your own projects and share your ideas. Put your vision out there. And most importantly keep up with AI. Since AI is growing rapidly, so learning how to use AI properly in creating your projects not only gonna boost your overall work progress but also help you stand out from others.
At potential, we've proven that with the right approach, anyone can gain recognition quicker than ever before. Becase we know it's not just about talent, it’s about using the right strategic thinking to rise above the crowd.
